At the 2018 Geneva Motor Show, Skoda delighted its fans by showing a restyled version of the third generation Fabia. In addition, the automaker showed its "practical" version of the Fabia Combi, which after a short period of time received a special "Scoutline" package.

In comparison with the civilian version of the Skoda Fabia Combi Scoutline model, it primarily stands out for the presence of an all-road plastic body kit, as well as special chrome elements.

The target audience of the novelty is active young people who want to get an attractive, well-equipped, roomy and practical car with an outstanding appearance, but do not have money for more premium versions of "off-road" station wagons.

Exterior Skoda Fabia Combi Scoutline

It should be noted right away that the differences between the usual Skoda Fabia and the "Scoutline" version are exclusively of a point nature.

"Muzzle" of the car pleases the eye with the corrected filling of the head optics, an attractive false radiator grille, a relief hood and a monumental front bumper, represented by a large air intake, a pair of foglights and a silver insert in its lowest part.

Fit and dynamic enough profile flaunts large wheel arches, elegant stampings on the side doors, a sloping roofline and special plastic overlays that are the hallmark of the "Scoutline" version.

As standard, the machine is equipped with 16-inch rollers, but for an additional charge, it is possible to install 17-inch wheels of a special design.

Feed "all-road" station wagon meets with a large fifth door, a small spoiler, C-shaped side lights and a monumental bumper with narrow stripes of rear fog lights and a silver-painted insert.

The dimensions of the Fabia Combi Scoutline are similar to those of a regular station wagon:

Length, mm4257
Width, mm1732
Height, mm1467
Wheel base, mm2470

It is assumed that the new product will receive an increased ground clearance, but there is no official confirmation of this information yet.

As is the case with the usual Fabia, the "all-terrain" station wagon can be painted in one of 14 body colors, and also be "shod" in R16-17 rims.

Skoda station wagon interior

The interior design of the Skoda Fabia Combi Scoutline exactly repeats that of the Skoda Fabia Combi. This means that the buyer is offered a laconic and well-tailored front dashboard.

Moreover, the interior of the car boasts the presence of high-quality materials, high-quality assembly and well-defined ergonomics of the driver's workplace. By the way, in front of the driver there is a convenient three-spoke multifunction steering wheel and a well-read instrument panel, which combines several analog dials and an LCD display of the trip computer.

The central dashboard sports a pair of horizontal air duct deflectors, a multimedia system with a 6.5 ”TV and 8 speakers (6 stationary and 2 virtual), as well as an intuitive climate system unit. However, it should be noted that in the standard version the filling of the central dashboard looks less rich.

Front riders well-tailored chairs with tangible lumbar support and a sufficient number of adjustments are offered, which allows a person of almost any build and height to sit comfortably.

Between the seats is a transmission tunnel on which the "Shkodovites" have placed a pair of cup holders, a gearshift knob and a parking brake knob.

Rear passengers a comfortable sofa is available, although due to the high transmission tunnel and relatively small width, only two adult riders can sit as comfortably as possible. Of course, if necessary, a third person can also fit here, but the three of them are not recommended to travel long distances, unless, of course, there are not three children behind.

Trunk volume "All-terrain" station wagon is equal to 530 liters, but if necessary, the owner can lower the backs of the second row of seats, thereby obtaining 1395 liters of loading space. In the underground luggage compartment, the manufacturer has placed a compact spare tire and a "travel" set of the necessary tools.

In general, the Skoda Fabia Combi Scoutline interior leaves an extremely positive impression, however, like the interior of other models of the Czech brand.

Specifications Skoda Fabia Combi Scoutline 2019

As with the standard Fabia, the Combi Scoutline version is available exclusively with petrol engines:

  1. 1-liter "aspirated", available in two versions of the boost - 60 and 75 hp. Its "partner" is a 5-speed manual gearbox, which allows it to accelerate to the first hundred in 15.2 seconds. and reach a maximum mark of 169 km / h. Passport fuel consumption in mixed travel mode is less than 5 l / 100 km.
  2. 1-liter turbocharged TSI engine producing 95 or 110 hp. and 160 or 200 Nm of torque. A weaker engine is aggregated with a 5-speed manual transmission, while a more powerful one is available with a 6-speed manual transmission and a 7-speed "robot" DSG to choose from.

With a 95-horsepower engine, the car provides acceleration from 0 to 100 in 10.9 seconds. and allows a top speed of 185 km / h. If a 110-horsepower gasoline engine is installed under the hood, the first hundred is conquered in 9.7 seconds, and the maximum speed reaches 196 km / h.

Fuel consumption in the combined cycle, according to the passport data, does not exceed 4.7 liters for every 100 km of track.

The novelty is based on a slightly modified "cart" of a car of the previous generation. The front independent suspension features MacPherson struts, while the rear features a semi-independent torsion beam design.

Despite the fact that the monitored vehicle is offered in a "Scoutline" version, the all-wheel drive system is not available. True, the situation is somewhat brightened up by the presence of technology that imitates the rear differential lock.

On the front axle of the station wagon, ventilated disc brakes are pre-installed, while at the rear there are drum or optional disc brakes. The steering system of the Fabia Combi Scoutline is equipped with an electro-hydraulic power-assisted steering system.

Safety and assistance systems of the new Skoda Fabia Combi Scoutline

Despite the fact that Skoda Fabia "acts" in the budget class, the manufacturer equips it a wide range of modern security systems, among which there are:

  • Anti-lock braking system, supplemented by the EBD function;
  • Front airbags + side airbags;
  • Engine immobilizer;

It is expected that the Skoda Fabia Combi Scoutline will appear in the countries of the Old World closer to the end of this 2018.It is already known that the Czechs do not plan to supply the model to the Russian market, which is due to the low demand for a car among our compatriots, who prefer the older models of the company.

In the home market, the "all-terrain" station wagon will be offered exclusively with turbo engines, and the minimum cost will start at 378 thousand kroons (about 16.8 thousand dollars).

At present, it is difficult to say what configuration options will be offered by the manufacturer, but we can already confidently say that the list of basic equipment will include:

  • LED DRL;
  • Steering wheel adjustable in two planes;
  • Interior upholstery with fabric;
  • MSR systems as well as EBV;
  • Anti-lock braking system with EBD;
