No one could have imagined that Nissan, which for the fifth year has been ranked last in the top 5 best-selling auto brands, would make a breakthrough in the electric car segment on the Ukrainian market. Of all registered electric vehicles, 70% are Nissan Leaf.
What other models of the famous Japanese brand are in demand among Ukrainian drivers?
1. Nissan Qashqai 2017 in diesel configuration
Today it makes no sense to prove to Ukrainian drivers the advisability of using diesel power plants not only in SUVs, but also in crossovers. Any technical innovation requires approbation, but Nissan engineers considered that its installation on the Nissan Qashqai was justified.
The diesel version of the crossover aroused keen interest not only among users, but also among many experts. They were very willing to buy it on the European market, and by 2017 Ukrainian dealers were also interested in the car.
The new car was optimized, additional systems and equipment were installed in it, necessary for the efficient functioning of the diesel power unit. Today, Ukrainian motorists have the official opportunity to purchase a similar version of the crossover, however, only in a front-wheel drive version and with a single engine modification.
The proposed installation is equipped with a turbocharger, produces 130 power and 320 Nm of torque. The complete set includes a transmission variator, 6 ranges. He works out well the movement at a balanced pace, but with a sharp set of speed, he sometimes lags behind in picking up traction.

The crossover copes well without an all-wheel drive system, in addition, the developers have taken care of installing a whole arsenal of control assistance systems. Of course, from this Qashqai did not become a brutal SUV, but from now on you can safely leave the asphalt on it.
The handling of the car is completely predictable, it drives easily and comfortably. There are complaints about the harsh suspension settings, but the top-end configuration of the car is equipped with discs with an increased diameter. The average price for a city SUV in car dealerships in Kiev does not exceed $ 18,000.
2. Nissan Leaf
In December 2018 alone, 282 Nissan Leaf electric vehicles were sold in Ukraine. For comparison, the share of other clean electricians was: Renault Kangoo Z.E - 36 units, BMW i3 - 26 units.
Most of all electric cars were purchased by Kharkiv residents - more than fifty charging points were equipped in the city. Motorists are not afraid of the price - at least 42,000 dollars.
This machine, even though it belongs to the category of innovative, does not offer any technological revolutionary solutions at all. It is tuned to a family audience, which is impressed by comfort, safety, practicality and economy.
Vehicle weight does not exceed 1.5 tons. It is declared in the Golf class, although it is the complete opposite of most opponents in the segment.
In the exterior of the body, attention is drawn to the optics of the main light, the absence of a muffler bell under the aft bumper, and a few more electronic options. The electric car picks up speed very dynamically, and it does it absolutely silently. There is no need to worry about fuel costs - the car is powered by an electric battery.
Hard plastic is used in the interior of the cabin, the assembly is of good quality. The dashboard lacks the usual tachometer and speedometer wells, and a large touchscreen display with excellent graphics is installed in the center of the console.
There are also innovative developments - for example, instead of a gearshift lever in an electric car, a mouse is installed, very reminiscent of a computer. There is one stage in the transmission, the driver will only have to choose the direction of travel, and the car starts by simply pressing a button located near the steering column.
Despite the fact that the electric car does not demonstrate progressive dynamic qualities, it accelerates quite actively, responding very sensitively to pressing the accelerator pedal. The power unit produces only 109 power and 280 Nm of torque. This allows the Leaf to accelerate to 140 km / h.
Nissan officials emphasized that for the normal operation of an electric vehicle, not only a developed network of charging stations is needed. It is necessary to have specialized technical services with high-tech equipment, adapted software programs, without which Leaf will not function fully. But Ukrainian dealers have partially coped with this, and sales of the model are growing every month.
3. Nissan Juke
The compact urban crossover has remained among the sales leaders since it appeared on the Ukrainian market after restyling in 2014. The car is equipped with a front wheel drive and remains the most affordable in the segment.
The cost of the basic configuration Nissan Juke does not exceed $ 17,000 - it is slightly more expensive than the "eternal" competitor Nissan - Hyundai ix35, and much cheaper than the Audi Q3.
The main advantage of the Nissan Juke is its ambiguous appearance, but this is what attracts the Ukrainian motorist when choosing a crossover for the city.
