Finally, one of the most popular and sought-after automobile companies Cadillac has officially published fresh details about a new, restyled version of the sedan CTS, which has already been loved by many, which will be included in the number of cars of the 2015 model year.
Representatives of the American company also confirmed rumors about changing their own emblem, and said that the presented car will be equipped with an active radiator grille. As well as journalists working in the automotive field, and just car enthusiasts were told about the emergence of the latest electronic assistant units, which include such an innovation as the Teen Driver. This is a function that limits not yet sufficiently experienced drivers, which allows you and your passengers to be as safe as possible.
I would like to tell you more about the radiator grill. On the updated CTS, in order to maintain the optimal temperature regime, the grill will automatically close and open. This function will reduce drag. And the previously described Teen Driver function will not only limit the permissible speed and maximum music volume limit, but also give a detailed report on what the maximum and minimum speed points were on this trip, how many times the driver “stoked” the gas pedal, and how many times it worked. ABS (anti-lock braking system - a function of the braking system inherent in more modern cars).
The 2015 Cadillac CTS (3rd generation) is an "E" class car, with rear or all-wheel drive. The "stuffing" of the new CTS is interesting. It is built on the same platform as its predecessor, the ATS sedan (McPherson struts in the front suspension, five-link designer in the rear). Finally, it was possible to achieve a relatively ideal weight distribution (50.4% - to the front and 49.6% - to the rear axle). When creating the car, the engineers set themselves the goal of making the mass as small as possible than that of the previous models of the series, so the platform, the body, the chassis, and even the engine had to "lose weight". After all the changes, the Cadillac STS began to weigh almost 120 kg less (about 1600 kg) than the same model in the second generation, which is unconditionally considered a great achievement.

Under the hood of the Cadillac CTS settled one of three engines: V6 Twin Turbo DI VVT 3.6 liters, which can produce 584 Nm of torque and 424 liters from power, Turbo DI VVT 2 liters and 276 hp, or the last option - V6 VVT DI 3.6 liters and 325 hp, 373 Nm. With gearboxes, a choice is also possible, since several of them are provided: for the first and second engine - a six-speed automatic, or the same automatic, only with all-wheel drive, and in a car with rear-wheel drive, an automatic transmission with eight steps and with "petals" is inherent under the steering wheel. The most powerful engine is equipped with the same gearbox. Well, the average fuel consumption is almost 18 liters.

The radiator grille on the updated version of the Cadillac CTS looks in the style inherent in the ATS coupe. The foreground has also changed due to the modification of the front bumper and the updated emblem, from which the laurel wreaths "disappeared".

Unfortunately, the current generation Cadillac CTS model, presented in 2013, “reached” the territory of the Russian Federation only in April of this year. In our domestic market, it costs more than 2,390,000 rubles. for a car with a two-liter engine and all-wheel drive, about 1,990,000 rubles, for a complete set with the same engine and power of 276, but with rear-wheel drive. A more powerful 3.6-liter engine has not yet been presented in the automotive market of our country, as, indeed, the CTS-V sedan.
